Can 2 C’s in your freshmen year ruin your chances of going into a college or university?
Author: admin // Category: Commercial ConstructionI didn’t do too well in my algebra class in my freshmen year of high school. I got C’s in both semesters! But the rest was great. I got into a much more advance school for my sophomore through senior years. I am going to study commercial construction and possibly do CADD. It also gives you chances to do internships. I plan to study architecture when I get into college. I also want to attend a top university. Will these two C’s affect my chances into college?

Two C’s shouldn’t be a major factor, but they will definitely play a role in a universities decision.

Please don’t worry. Two C’s won’t hurt you. They look at your overall grade point average, not individual grades.
You will make it.

Commercial Construction
Well 2 C’s won’t destroy you, but they don’t help either. Sophomore year is critical as well as junior year. And if you plan to study commercial constriction, you should do well in math.

i did really poor my freshmen year of high school. 2.2 out of a 5. The rest of the time i managed to pick it up to a 4.5 out of 5. did well on standardized tests as well. I got into every school i applied for. You will be fine as long as you do well in everything else. That being said, step your math game up if you would like to do anything with CADD or commercial construction. Good luck!

Create a video blog…instantly.
Its possible, but if you get decent grades the rest of your high school career then you will probably be alright. It might be a good idea to take the class over again in summer school. I did that when I got a C in algebra one year. Even though you already passed the course it will show some initiative and will look good if you are able to ace the class in summer school.

Not that it will completely be wiped out of the picture, but considering that this was only your freshman year and you mentioned that you are in a more advance school now, that should bear most of the weight in their decision. Also will depend on your SAT score, but 2 C’s in your freshman year will hold a pretty small portion of the weight because it’s more important that you are improving your grades, and improving what you are doing, not what you did 4 years ago.
