Hello we recently applied for a rental home with a property manager (in V.A.). We have spoke to the owner who is very nice and she required no credit check and said that in her mind we were already “approved” she had to get a property manager b/c her and her family were moving to a different state. Just wondering how long it would take this property management co. to approve/deny our application. And what there normal procedures on the approval were. We paid a deposit of first months rent and app. fee of $40.

She wants to start working for foreclosure listing agents and to provide services such as rekey, trash-out, winterization, etc. To all you agents out there who specialize in listing foreclosures, what would be her best strategy as far as marketing to you?
I am relocating but don’t want to sell in this market. So I am planning to rent my single-family detached home. What are the options to rent? Should I do this myself or hire a company? Property management fees seem a little high. They charge anywhere from 10-12% of rentals + 1 month finder’s fee. Plus I will have to pay income tax on my rental income. Residents of the apartment building are not happy with the Property Management performance. The building admistrator doesn’ t do his job properly and Property Management condones the situation. The value of our properties dwindles in comparison to the same in other buildings in close vicinity. One board member of the Board Directors of /Middlesex Condominium Corporation/ has majority of votes and can do whatever suits him.
