First Time Home Buyer tax credit apply to buying home out of state?

I would like to relocate to another state and buy a home before the credit expires while I still have enough in savings for down payment but my current rental and utilities are slowly depleting same while my husband has been unemployed for the first time in 35 years.

Yes, as long as you close by November 30th. If moving to California, I can help you with that and I guarantee a 30 day close (at the most). BUT since your husband is unemployed, you may be qualify for financing… that needs to be your first step. Contact a lender in the state you are planning to move to and get pre-approved first.
